Annick Sackx
Is a doctor in Veterinary Medicine and
qualified in 1986. She has been employed in different small animal
practices mainly in the south of the country and moved to this area in
1993. She has been working locally until May 2001.
She bought "the old doctors surgery" in Saxilby and converted it into "Vicarage Veterinary Centre",
opening in January 2002. She has a particular interest in rabbits and guinea
pigs and her favourite dogs are; boxers and lurchers (she likes muscles!).
In her spare time, she likes to renovate the old property, potter around
in the garden or go walking with her 2 children and her greyhound, Honey. She loves
travelling (but
that is very limited for the moment of course!). She has one dog, two cats,
two rabbits,
one guinea pig, tropical fish and five chickens! (cared for by her daughter, Jasmine!).

Jenny Fish
Jenny qualified from
Glasgow
University
in 1997 and has been in small animal practice since, firstly in Derbyshire
and in
Lincolnshire
since 2000. She took a short
career break in 2004 for a 9 month period of travelling with her husband
Andy, the real highlight of the trip was high altitude trekking in Northern India
.
She has recently returned to part time working after a period of maternity
leave. Baby Anna was born in
July last year, she is a lovely little sister for Alistair who is now 2
and a half. Between the two of them they keep their Mum very busy!
Jenny is enjoying her return to veterinary life as a Locum at Vicarage
Vets, with particular interests including feline internal medicine. |

Yvonne Black
Joined Vicarage Vets in August 2007. She qualified from Glasgow university in 1999, and
has since worked in several practices around the UK, before settling in Lincolnshire in
2004.
Yvonne is currently undertaking a course in exotic animal practice, studying birds,
reptiles, fish, and small mammals. However, she enjoys working with dogs and cats too!
She lives with her husband, Andy, and her cat, Cleo. In her spare time she likes walking,
cycling, and horse-riding. She also loves travelling, and spent a month on a wildlife
conservation park in South Africa last October. |

Issy Pickin
A veterinary nurse who lives with her Springer
Spaniel Bilbo Baggins and her Cocker Spaniel Henry in Saxilby.
After 25 years in the RAF as a weapons
technician, Issy retired and spent two years at
Nottingham Trent University gaining a Foundation Degree in Animal Studies.
She joined the practice in Dec 2004, and has a special interest in
nutritional matters.
In her spare time she spends hours walking Bilbo and
Henry, and doing D.I.Y. |

Kim Worrall
Spent 2 1/2 years in the dog section at RAF Newton and then opened a dog rescue
& training centre (Man’s Best Friend) with her husband Chaz.
She worked for a neighbouring practice as Animal Care
Assistant for 4 1/2 years and joined Vicarage Vet Centre in May 2005.
She shares her house with 3 dogs (which include her
newly rescued Border Collie puppy; Bear), two cats, two Guinea Pigs
(her two children have left home, she is glad to add, stating; 'we needed the
room with all these fur kids'!) Kim
is responsible for the training and re-homing of up to five rescue dogs
at any one time.
She teaches agility and obedience to adults and
children, mostly on Sundays
and Wednesdays and in the little spare time left she loves skiing, gardening,
walking (with her dogs) and wind surfing. |

Sara Eldrett
Our new veterinary nurse Sara started working with us
late April. She lives in Sturton by
Stow
with her partner Steve, three cats, Tinkerbell, Faith and Frodo and rescue dog,
Honey.
She has had five-years previous experience working in a
veterinary surgery in
County
Durham
whilst doing her GCSE’s and A-Levels.
Sara has done a three year course in Animal Behaviour
at
Lincoln
University
and attained her degree in September 2006, she is now doing a diploma in
the Practical Aspects in Animal Behaviour and Training.
In her spare time, Sara runs a dog walking, training
and pet-sitting business; A Dog Called Wander, with partner Steve. Her
other interests include horse riding, walking and dog training (including
Annick's lurcher, Honey), travelling (having travelled through
Kenya
twice) and chocolate. |
